Fairytale Ending?

So let’s talk a minute.

What is it with girls? Seriously?

I look at young women, 16, 17 years old, up to their 20’s, and I notice a common theme.

They all want that “fairytale” relationship.

They post on social media about romance and a man that worships the ground they walk on, a man that treats them like a princess. I would read that stuff, and wonder where these ideals come from.

My conclusion is, the fairytales these girls read and watch as kids. They were never taught that the happily ever after, riding off into the sunset stuff, is FICTION.

While it is possible, even in today’s world, to find your happily ever after, no one is prepared for what happens after the wedding. Once the princess wedding gown is put away, Prince Charming has shed his tuxedo, and all the guests have taken leftover cake and gone, what happens??

The answer is simple…. Life.

Men, are simple creatures. Men are not complicated. At. All. They are disgusting at times, but they can be sweet. It might be rare, but it’s there.

Real relationships are hard work.

No, your Prince Charming doesn’t pick up his socks off the floor. No, he doesn’t spray that air freshener in the bathroom when he’s done. Odds are, he doesn’t make the bed how you like it. Maybe he doesn’t do all the dishes and wipe out the sink when he’s done. But, at least he washed some of them. At least he spread the covers up on the bed.

No, he doesn’t really care about the latest drama at work, or with your sister, but he’s listening, because you are important to him.

He’ll try as best he can, because he loves you.

It won’t all be moonbeams, roses, and long romantic walks on the beach. But if you get hung up on looking for perfection, you’ll always be disappointed.

Just in case you’re wondering, you are not perfect either.

You’ll both drive each other nuts. You’ll wake up some mornings, look over at him sleeping beside you, and think “I could take this pillow and smother him right now. Or I could go make pancakes”.

You have to decide, you have to make the choice, because your decision will be what determines the course of your relationship.

You’ll disagree with each other, you’ll get irritated and possibly mad at each other. But, will you talk it out, listen to each other, and let it strengthen your relationship? Or will you throw that tv remote at his head?

Relationships need trust, honesty & understanding, just as much as Love. There will be laughter, tears, and occasionally the long angry silence. But the choices you make in that relationship, will determine if it will last, or fall apart.

Fairytale stories will cause romantic ideations in young girls and women, it is inevitable.

The trick, is to remember that those fairytale stories, are just that, stories. And Fiction at that.

So instead of seeing what he didn’t do, or how he didn’t do it right, look for what he did do. Because I can guarantee, that’s what he is doing with you.

So, give him that blowjob without making him ask for it. Let him have that guys night without complaining. If you give a little, you’ll find he will give back. He will be more willing to do things you ask him to. Just pick up the pair of pants that go in the laundry he left on the floor right next to the hamper.

Be open and accepting of him, and he will be with you.

No, it won’t be the perfect fairytale, but it will become your perfect fairytale.
